Xmas 2008

It was a good ‘un.

Spent time with family, ate lots of nice food, pigged out on lots of chocolate, and had plenty of good drinks. That’s the definition of a good xmas, right?

Looking forward to New Years Eve at home in London. 2009 is going to be good year. Gunna see my projects which have been mostly theory until now, pop up into practise.

I find it strange that we wish people a Happy New Year after the actual New Year has begun. So I’m going with the Japanese tradition, and Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, before it starts. I hope everyone is getting ready to make 2009 a really good year for Web.

Tamworth for Xmas

So I’m spending xmas with my mum this year. She’s living in the West Midlands these days, in a town called Tamworth (just outside of Birmingham o_0). Don’t ask …

This town is dreadful. I’d be wrong to say there’s nothing here though. There’s the ‘Snow Dome’, which is a really good place to go snowboarding, skiing and stuff in the UK (it’s advertised as “Western Europe’s first real-snow indoor ski slope”). But besides that, there is absolutely nothing in Tamworth! I think the most famous thing that’s ever come out of Tamworth is the old ‘Reliant Robin’ – which is probably about as loved as the town itself …

Office Xmas Party

So I’ve been working at Net Communities for a couple of weeks now. Brilliant place to work – it’s such a cool environment, everyone just gells. It’s great to work in a web2.0 atmosphere. And I still have a lot of alcohol in my system, so excuse me if this sound cheesy, but it’s good to have a boss who actually understands web, and enjoys it the way you do – you know?
