href="http://www.getdropbox.com/" target="_blank">dropbox! Seriously.

Okay, it’s only 2gb, but I’m sure there’ll be a paid subscription package as soon as they leave Beta. This is the kind of service I could use.

It’s as simple as installing a small client on my work pc and my home desktop, then just dropping files into the ‘Dropbox’ directory in my /home. It’s then instantly sync’d.

I use this for small things like invoices, documents, bookmarks and stuff – just little things that I used to shove on a USB thumb drive everytime I was leaving home/work. Now I just shove the files into the dropbox. Sorted.

The interface of the Linux program is basic. Offers network settings, that some people might need (max upload/download for e.g.), and that’s about it. It’s pretty much a shared folder, without all the mess of Samba, and with the added bonus that everything is backed up on a 3rd party server.

The web interface is also pretty simple. Just nice easy access to your files from anywhere.
There’s absolutely nothing for me to moan about with this service!

Now just to wait for them to offer larger space packages.

I have a few invites left, if anyone wants one.
