If you’re living in London you’ll remember there was a tube strike last month, when the RMT (union) decided they weren’t being payed enough and figured the best way to resolve this would be to shut down the Capital of England. Well play gays /sarcasm.
Today I got a ltter from TFL appologising again for the idiots that are the RMT, and providing me with a £10 goodwill payment. How nice
I applied for this on the TFL.gov.uk website around the time of the strikes and had totally forgotten about it until today. I do love when big companies are honorable enough to provide goodwill gestures.

It’s over. Done. I have no hair left

I’d just like to thank everyone who supported me. Thanks for sponsoring me, your money will make a difference to those in need of it.
A quick shoutout to Toni and Guy in Farringdon for neatening me up a little and sorting me out with a wash&dry (cheers Michael).
Thanks to Desire and ITProPortal for publishing the story, and the rest of the Net Communities office for all the support. Cheers Mark for doing the actual shaving lol.
If you want to view the recording of the event, click here to go to the Red Nose Day page.
You can still sponsor me – donate to Red Nose Day and make a bit of a difference.
Cheers people,
C

It was a good ‘un.
Spent time with family, ate lots of nice food, pigged out on lots of chocolate, and had plenty of good drinks. That’s the definition of a good xmas, right?
Looking forward to New Years Eve at home in London. 2009 is going to be good year. Gunna see my projects which have been mostly theory until now, pop up into practise.
I find it strange that we wish people a Happy New Year after the actual New Year has begun. So I’m going with the Japanese tradition, and Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, before it starts. I hope everyone is getting ready to make 2009 a really good year for Web.

Today Aaron, Ysmael, Simon, Mo and I visited
Handheldlearning. While the conference didn’t really feature any games industry experts, as we had initially thought – it did offer a little insight into the online education sector, which could very well help me with my final year project.
I won’t blog about my final year project just yet though, because it’s still in the ideas stages.
I made a few contacts and got a bit of information, so it was quite a successful day.
We also got to play a couple video games while we were there. ^_^

Pro!
That’s the only word this blog post needs to contain.
Diggnation did it again. The show was huge, with the arena full (and security turning late-comers away).
Kevin and Alex hosted a fun-packed, albeit short show. Carsonified provided the wi-fi access, Google provided free beers all night.
I went with Aaron, Aryel and Simon, and we absolutely rinsed the Google Beers (Beta?) between us.
The afterparty was in the Fox again, which was also packed. Some people I remembered from last year, and a few randomers who recognised me too.
The atmosphere at Diggnation is always good. The vibe is geeky but fun.
Of course it wouldn’t be a Live Diggnation without getting a photo taken with Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht!;
