Jamaica some more

I shamefully (mister I don’t believe in censorship) removed my Jamaica post for a day. I didn’t want it to come across as tact-less, but it was my honest feelings of my holiday. I’ve always been proud of my heritage, and I am still very proud to be British Jamaican. However I didn’t want my post to look like a bashing of any kind, or a disrespect to any of my Jamaican friends, bloggers or family. I don’t think the post is any of these things really, therefore I’ve put it back, just the way it was. Think of it (and me) what you will :-)

It took me many years to stop clinging to my Jamaican side, and embrace my whole identity. This is a pretty recent thing (which frequent readers will probably have fathomed). I feel I have finally found a balance in myself, and in my life. I share two cultures, but one identity. That’s what I was originally searching for when I moved to London. And although I really enjoyed my time in Jamaica, it’s always good to be back Home in London.

By the way I love the Jamaican style writing in this top road sign – you have to say it with an accent lol. The second sign could be a condom advert?
