You haven't looked at TV packages here in the States.

Many people pay upwards of $125 per month just to watch TV. Granted, this has (usually) all of the football, baseball and basketball games per week. Some also pay for pay-per-view.

I don't see why I should pay for TV. We have those converter boxes for each TV in the house, and now we get 12 channels. Before the boxes, we only got 5. Yes, we are using over-the-air antenna broadcasts.

The only time I had cable was when I was living with someone who HAD to have it, it was streaming free into my apartment, or I was living in school housing that had it included in the price. That was during college.

I agree that advertising is irritating, but the stuff I watch anyway is going to have massive amounts of commercials (regular TV, ESPN, FSN, Discovery, etc). The only thing I really, really like cable for is to get CBC broadcasts (love me some hockey and the Canadian shows are HILARIOUS).

Amy
