@Corvida the reason I use identi.ca to talk to the Tech community is because its full of early adopters =]

And I use Twitter to talk to randomers about random stuff, because Twinkle allows me to tweet people in my local area – which is fun.

I just wanted to say that the way you use Twitter vs. Identi.ca is the exact opposite way that I use Twitter and identi.ca. I have a more random audience on identi.ca and a more tech/pr audience on Twitter.

You made some great points, but I thought it was interesting how you see the opposite in Twitter.

It’s like you read my mind

My Twitter timeline is full of A-List types telling me they made a new blog post or ReTweeting a blog post/podcast or otherwise marketing to me. Some are even doing a lot of crowdsourcing.

On Identi.ca, I actually have conversations with people. People that are interesting to talk to and that actually respond when I reply to them.

I guess I might have a different view of Twitter if I had got in on the ground floor.
